Service Description

These conversation classes are very flexible and organic, and focus on fluency, accuracy and building confidence. These lessons are not prepared by the teacher and there is no homework, although, of course, you will have language to review after our lesson and there is preparation you can do for any subsequent lessons to get maximum benefit. Lessons can cover a range of topics, decided by you beforehand or on the day. For example, we could talk about your weekend or working week, a book you're reading, a film you've watched, a trip you're planning or even a presentation you have to give. To get the most out of your lesson, it is always a good idea to prepare a few points and/or questions, as well as useful key vocabulary; you could even bring along language you have come across in a book or film that you want to go through. It isn't compulsory, though! In lesson, I will correct your language where necessary, sometimes in the moment and sometimes at the end of the lesson, making notes in our Google document. We can discuss any grammar, pronunciation issues, collocations or other language points as they come up too. Each one hour class is 55 minutes long and usually held in Google Meet, using Google Docs as our working document. Once you book a lesson, I will send you a Google Docs link in which you will find the meeting link. I will then meet you there at your booked time. Other platforms can, of course, be used upon request.
